The Malaysian Journal of Law and Society (JUUM) (ISSN 1394-7729) published annually by UKM Press is committed to publishing innovative research focusing on law including Syariah. The journal emphasises on formation and application of law to the masses. JUUM strives to provide an additional platform for intellectual discourse, publication of research findings and theoretical debates on issues from a range of legal traditions. JUUM is an invaluable resource for readers interested in cutting-edge analysis of current legal issues.

Peer Review Process

JUUM will adopt a double blind peer review process. The manuscript will be evaluated based on its appropriateness for JUUM, contribution to the discipline, cogency of analysis, conceptual breadth and clarity of presentation. Decisions regarding the publication of a manuscript will be based on the reviewers’ recommendations. Manuscripts submitted by members of the editorial board are subjected to the same review process.

NOTE: Only one article / case commentary / legislation note of the same writer will be published in each volume of JUUM.
