Pelaksanaan Pengajaran dan Pembelajaran Bahasa Arab dalam Kurikulum Bu’uth Al-Azhar di Sekolah Agama Bantuan Kerajaan (SABK) (The Implementation of Teaching and Learning Arabic Based on Bu’uth Al-Azhar Curriculum in Sekolah Agama Bantuan Kerajaan (SABK)

Abstract


The use of teaching aids in teaching Arabic language still needs to be improved, especially in Sekolah Agama Bantuan
Kerajaan (SABK) . This descriptive study was conducted to identify the techniques, practices and frequency in teaching
aids used by Arabic teacher with Bu’uth al-Azhar curriculum. The study was implemented in two schools (SABK) in Negeri
Selangor. The questionnaires were distributed to 20 teachers and 150 students . The findings showed that the mean value
of teaching techniques in the classroom from the teachers’ perspective (mean = 4.15) and students’ perspective (mean =
3.82) both were at high level. In addition, the mean value in the practice of teaching and teaching in the classroom from
the teacher’s perspective (mean = 3:47) and students (mean = 3.96) were also high. However, the mean of the frequency
of teaching aids used from the teacher’s perspective (mean = 2:18) and students (mean = 2:16) were at a low level. This
findings indicate that positive attitude towards the teaching practices and techniques, but this positive attitudes does not
work out with the students and teachers in matter of teaching aids used. Therefore, the use of teaching aids (BBM) has to
be considered comprehensive, especially in Sekolah Agama Bantuan Kerajaan (SABK).
