Abstract

Trainee teacher will be exposed to a variety of teaching and learning activities inside and outside the classroom. This process will bring them face diffi culties when implementing these activities. Accordingly this study identifi es whether there is a signifi cant relationship between the perception of a total of 173 trainees for teaching practice and diffi culties in implementing activities during their teaching practice in an effort to novice teachers. The fi ndings show that there is a signifi cant negative relationship between the perceptions of teaching practice and diffi culty performing activities listed during teaching practice. This relationship suggests that if respondents have a positive perception of teaching practice, they fi nd it easy to do activities during teaching practice and vice versa. The results also show a signifi cant difference in terms of the perception of teaching practice and diffi culty performing activities or solve the problems faced. Novice teachers found to have a positive perception of teaching practice and expressed no diffi culties in performing activities during teaching practice. This is a situation which is encouraging in our efforts bore novice teacher quality and will educate our children in the future.
