Tahap Pelaksanaan Latihan dalam Perkhidmatan dan Hubungannya dengan Pengalaman Mengajar serta Kekerapan Menghadiri Latihan Guru Sekolah Rendah Berprestasi Tinggi di Putrajaya (The Level of Implementation of In-Service Training and Its Relationship with Teaching Experience and Frequency of Attending Training among High Performing Primary School Teachers in Putrajaya)
Abstract
Latihan Dalam Perkhidmatan (LDP) merupakan salah satu aktiviti penting yang perlu dilakukan dalam organisasi sekolah. Faktor pengalaman memainkan peranan penting di dalam pengendalian dan pengurusan LDP. Tujuan kajian ini adalah untuk menentukan tahap pelaksanaan LDP guru di sekolah rendah berprestasi tinggi di Wilayah Persekutuan Putrajaya. Objektif kajian ini adalah untuk menentukan tahap pelaksanaan latihan dan mengenal pasti perbezaan pelaksanaan LDP berdasarkan demografi iaitu pengalaman mengajar dan kekerapan menghadiri latihan. Reka bentuk kajian ini ialah satu kajian kuantitatif yang menggunakan kaedah tinjauan untuk mengumpul data dari responden. Populasi kajian adalah seramai 264 orang guru dari tiga buah sekolah rendah berstatus “Sekolah Berprestasi Tinggi” di WP. Putrajaya di mana sampel kajian ini adalah seramai 160 orang guru. Data kajian dikumpul dan dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif yang melibatkan nilai min, frekuensi dan peratus dan statistik inferensi yang melibatkan ujian ANOVA sehala yang menggunakan perisian Statistic Package for Social Science (SPSS) versi 22. Hasil kajian mendapati keseluruhan nilai min adalah berada pada tahap tinggi, iaitu pelaksanaan LDP (min=4.13). Hasil kajian juga menunjukkan terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan pengalaman mengajar dan kekerapan menghadiri latihan terhadap pelaksanaan LDP. Implikasi kajian ini adalah dari segi perlunya dijalankan terlebih dahulu analisis keperluan latihan terhadap guru-guru sebelum sesuatu LDP dijalankan ke atas mereka bagi memastikan latihan tersebut berkesan dalam meningkat prestasi guru-guru.Kesimpulannya, pelaksanaan LDP yang berkesan perlu mengikut keperluan guru dengan mengambil kira pengalaman mengajar guru dan kekerapan menghadiri latihan.

In-service training is one of the essential activities that need to be done in the school organization. The factors of experience play an important role in the handling and management of in-service training.The purpose of this study was to determine the level of implementation of in-service training of teachers in high performing primary schools in the Federal Territory Putrajaya. The objective of this study was to determine the level of implementation of training and identify differences in implementation of in-service training (INSET) based on demographics, namely teaching experience and frequency of attending training.The design of this study was a quantitative study that used a survey method to collect data from respondents. The population of this study was 264 teachers from three primary schools with the status “high performing School” in WP Putrajaya where the sample of this study is about 160 teachers. Data collected was analyzed using descriptive statistics involving mean values, frequencies and percentages and inferential statistics involving one-way ANOVA test that uses software Statistic Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 22. The study found the overall mean value is high level, namely the implementation of in-service training (mean = 4.13). The study also shows that there are significant differences teaching experience and frequency of attending training on the implementation of in-service training. The implications of this study are in terms of the need to be carried out in advance of training needs analysis of teachers before an in-service training carried out on them to ensure that the training is effective in increasing the performance of teachers. In conclusion, the implementation of training in effective service should be based on the need of teachers taking into account the teachers’ teaching experience and frequency of attending training.
