FAKTOR PERSEKITARAN SOSIAL DAN HUBUNGANNYA DENGAN PEMBENTUKAN JATI DIRI (Social Environmental Factors and Their Relation to Identity Formation)

Abstract


ABSTRAK

Artikel  ini  bertujuan  membincangkan  faktor-faktor  persekitaran  sosial  yang boleh mempengaruhi pembentukan jati diri setiap individu. Faktor persekitaran sosial boleh memberi kesan secara hubungan timbal balas terhadap proses pembentukan  tingkah  laku  dan  jati  diri  seseorang.  Di  samping  itu,  banyak kajian yang telah dilakukan mendapati bahawa persekitaran memiliki peranan yang cukup penting di dalam usaha membentuk jati diri individu. Faktor-faktor persekitaran sosial yang dikenal pasti memberikan kesan yang cukup signifikan dalam pembentukan jati diri individu adalah terdiri daripada ibu bapa, rakan sebaya, sekolah dan guru dan media massa.

ABSTRACT

This  article  aims  at  discussing  the  social  environmental  factors  influencing the formation of individual identity. Social environmental factors may produce reciprocal response effects to the formation of individual behavior and identity. In addition, many studies found that social environment played an important role in the effort to develop an individual identity. The identified social environmental factors, i.e., parents, peers, school and teachers, and mass-media, had a significant impact to the formation of individual identity.
