TAHAP DAN SUMBANGAN PENGETAHUAN SERTA SIKAP TERHADAP TINGKAH LAKU ALAM SEKITAR DALAM KALANGAN KARIAH MASJID HIJAU ISTIQLAL, JAKARTA (Level and Contribution of Knowladge and Attitude towards Environmental Behaviour Among the Congregants of Istiqlal Green Mosque, Jakarta)
Abstract
ABSTRAK
Penjagaan alam sekitar memerlukan kerjasama dan penyelesaian secara bersepadu termasuklah peranan institusi keagamaan. Peranan institusi keagamaan dapat dilihat melalui inisiatif masjid hijau yang menekankan kepada elemen kelestarian seperti kecekapan tenaga dan penjimatan air kepada kariah masjid. Masjid Istiqlal, Jakarta terkenal sebagai masjid yang menekankan kepada kelestarian alam sekitar serta mendidik kariah terhadap penjagaan alam sekitar. Namun, pengetahuan, sikap dan tingkah laku kariah masjid terhadap penjagaan alam sekitar masih kurang diterokai. Oleh itu, kajian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tahap serta sumbangan pengetahuan dan sikap terhadap tingkah laku alam sekitar dalam kalangan kariah masjid hijau Istiqlal, Jakarta. Kajian tinjauan ini menggunakan soal selidik bagi mendapatkan data. Seramai 450 orang kariah Masjid Hijau Istiqlal Jakarta, Indonesia terlibat dalam kajian ini. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dan inferensi iaitu melibatkan analisis korelasi Pearson dan regresi menggunakan SPSS. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan bahawa sikap berada pada tahap yang tinggi. Namun, tahap pengetahuan dan tingkah laku kariah pula berada pada tahap yang sederhana tinggi. Dapatan kajian juga menunjukkan bahawa pengetahuan, sikap dan tingkah laku penjagaan alam sekitar mempunyai hubungan yang signifikan, serta pengetahuan dan sikap memberi sumbangan signifikan terhadap tingkah laku penjagaan alam sekitar. Justeru, kefahaman akan peranan masjid hijau terhadap kelestarian alam sekitar perlu disampaikan kepada komuniti setempat agar dapat sama-sama menyumbang kepada Matlamat Pembangunan Mampan.
ABSTRACT
Environmental care requires collaboration and integrated solutions, including the role of religious institutions. The role of religious institutions can be seen through green mosque initiatives, which emphasize sustainability elements such as energy efficiency and water conservation for mosque congregants. Istiqlal Mosque in Jakarta is well known as a mosque that emphasizes environmental sustainability while educating its congregants about environmental care. However, the knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors of mosque congregants regarding environmental protection are still underexplored. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the levels and contributions of knowledge and attitudes toward environmental behavior among the congregants of the Istiqlal Green Mosque in Jakarta. This survey study employed questionnaires to collect data. A total of 450 congregants of the Istiqlal Green Mosque in Jakarta, Indonesia, participated in the study. The data were analyzed descriptively and inferentially, involving Pearson correlation and regression analysis using SPSS. The findings revealed that attitudes were at a high level, while the levels of knowledge and behavior were moderately high. The results also showed that knowledge, attitudes, and environmental care behaviors were significantly related, with knowledge and attitudes contributing significantly to environmental care behaviors. Thus, understanding the role of green mosques in environmental sustainability needs to be conveyed to local communities so that they can contribute collectively to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
