PENANAMAN ANGGUR DAN PENGARUH KEATAS KESEJAHTERAAN HIDUP MASYARAKAT DI SIK, KEDAH (The Influence of Grapes Planting to the Society Welfare among the Communities in Sik, Kedah)

Abstract

Penanaman anggur di Tasik Beris, Sik, Kedah telah memberi kesan terhadap kesejahteraan hidup penduduk terutamanya kesan ke atas pelancongan dan juga kesan dalam kemudahan prasarana terhadap masyarakat setempat. Aktiviti  ini telah membawa perubahan yang begitu banyak ke atas penduduk tempatan iaitu dari segi adanya kemudahan asas dan kemudahan infrastruktur dan juga memberi faedah kepada penduduk setempat dari segi perubahan taraf kehidupan. Oleh itu, kajian ini penting untuk mengembangkan  ilmu  pengetahuan  terutama yang berkaitan dengan pembangunan infrastruktur akibat penanaman anggur yang memberi kesejahteraan kepada masyarakat setempat dan juga mengenal pasti masalah yang timbul seterusnya memberikan cadangan yang sesuai untuk pihak berwajib menangani masalah tersebut. Kajian kuantitatif ini melibatkan jumlah responden sebanyak 90 orang yang melibatkan lima buah perkampungan penduduk dengan mengunakan instrumen borang soal selidik. Seterusnya hasil kutipan soal selidik dianalisis menggunakan kaedah korelasi dan analisis deskriptif. Hasil kajian mendapati aktiviti penanaman ladang anggur tersebut telah mengubah landskap penduduk tempatan ke arah kesejahteran hidup yang lebih baik dengan wujudnya pertambahan peluang pekerjaan yang pelbagai kepada penduduk setempat, pertambahan infrastruktur yang lebih efisien, kemudahan jaringan komunikasi yang lebih baik, peningkatan akses jalan raya ke bandar-bandar besar dan juga pelbagai kemudahan yang diterima oleh penduduk sekitar kawasan kajian. Namun kesan negatif yang timbul akibat arus pembangunan dikawasan kajian haruslah ditangani dengan segera.

Grapes planting in Tasik Beris, Sik, Kedah has affected the population, especially the impact to the tourism and infrastructure for local communities. This activity has giving so many changes on the local population in terms of availability of basic amenities and infrastructure facilities and also benefit the local population in terms of changes of living. Besides that, there are the negative effects from it such as so many foreigners work in the vineyard and it has drop the number of local workers working in the vineyard. The effect of early planting vineyards to see the number of local workers grew but over time the locals excluded from receiving the benefits of working in the vineyards. Therefore, this research is important to develop knowledge, especially for the infrastructure development as a result of the cultivation of vines that give prosperity to the local community and also identify the problems passing the appropriate recommendations to the authorities to deal with these problems. The quantitative study involved a total of 90 respondents from five villages populated by using questionnaires instrument. The study was analyzed using descriptive analysis and correlation methods. The study found that planting vineyards have changed the landscape of the local population towards the welfare of a better life with the existence of a variety of employment opportunities to the local residents, an increase of more efficient infrastructure, ease of communications networks, better road access to city and also a range of facilities that received by residents of the study area. But the negative effects arising from the development area of study must be dealt with immediately.
