MUDAH GUNA DAN KEBERGUNAAN LAMAN WEB UNIVERSITI DALAM KALANGAN PELAJAR ANTARABANGSA (Ease of use and usefulness of university web site among international students)

Abstract

The development of the Internet led to the development of various communication medium such as website and social networking system. Physical limitations and constraints of conventional media to deliver information quickly and efficiently can be overcome with the advent of digital media technology. Limitations of space and time can link easily when new media technologies are used to improve the information delivery system. This study focuses on the perception of the usefulness and easy of use the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) website among international students. Quantitative research method with questionnaires was conducted on 200 international students at UKM. The study found that international students agreed that usefulness and ease of use of the website will affects user satisfaction and acceptance. Website also helped them to get information, interact and increase their knowledge of the university. This study has implications on the importance of websites even nowadays, there are a variety of new media and social media as a platform for disseminating information to the stakeholders of the university. An in-depth study should be carried out using in-depth interview or focus group approach to understand the experience of international students when using the university's website.
