PERIHALAN LENGKAP MORFOLOGI LUARAN Cosmodela aurulenta (FABRICIUS, 1801) BERSERTA PERIHALAN GENITALIA JANTAN DAN BETINANYA

Abstract


Cosmodela aurulenta tersebar luas di seluruh wilayah Indo-Malaya. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk membuat perihalan morfologi luaran spesies Kumbang Harimau C. aurulenta dan pencirian genitalia jantan dan betina bagi spesies ini. Sehingga kini, tiada perihalan lengkap telah dibuat bagi spesies kumbang C. aurulenta di Malaysia. Sebanyak 120 spesimen dari seluruh Malaysia telah diperiksa. Spesimen yang diperiksa merupakan koleksi C. aurulenta yang terdapat di repositori Pusat Sistematik Serangga, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). Pemerhatian dan pengukuran ciri morfologi dan pengekstrakan genitalia jantan dan betina dari abdomen kumbang dewasa telah dijalankan. Genitalia jantan dan betina C. aurulenta juga diilustrasi di dalam kajian ini.
