Persepsi politik dan kepimpinan di kawasan Parlimen (P152) Kluang, Johor (Political perceptions and leadership in the Parliament (P152) Kluang, Johor)

Abstract


Kluang merupakan kawasan bandar yang mengalami proses perbandaran yang pesat dengan aktiviti ekonomi dan aktiviti penduduknya. Kepesatan dan kemajuan ekonomi di Kluang telah mempengaruhi persepsi pengundi terhadap politik dan kepimpinan setempat dan negara. Dalam aspek pendapat politik, 95.0 peratus di kalangan responden menyokong program Kerajaan dalam memantapkan agenda pembangunan negara dan 83.2 peratus menyatakan gagasan “1 Malaysia: Rakyat Didahulukan, Pencapaian Diutamakan” disokong dan dihayati oleh responden. Dari aspek pengurusan awam pula, 86.3 peratus responden menyatakan Indeks Petunjuk Prestasi (KPI) untuk wakil rakyat dan Menteri adalah baik dan mempengaruhi sokongan rakyat terhadap Kerajaan dan polisi/pembaharuan yang dilakukan oleh kepimpinan Perdana Menteri dalam menerajui pembangunan negara terus mendapat sokongan rakyat (80.2 peratus). Parti politik yang akan diundi pada pilihan raya umum akan datang ialah BN (60.8 peratus) dan DAP (39.2 peratus). Justeru, artikel ini akan merungkai pandangan politik dan kepemimpinan di kawasan kajian.

Kluang is an urban area experiencing rapid urbanization with economic activity and population activities. The rapid growth and economic development in the Kluang have influenced voter’s perceptions of political and local and national leadership. In terms of political opinion, 95.0 per cent of respondents support the government in strengthening the national development agenda, and 83.2 percent said the idea of "1 Malaysia: People First, Performance Now" is supported and understood by the respondent. From the aspect of public management, 86.3 percent of respondents said the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) for elected representatives and the minister is good and influence public support for the government and the policy /changes made by the leadership of Prime Minister in leading the development of the country continue to support the people (80.2 per cent ). Political parties that will be voted on at the next general election is the BN (60.8 percent) and DAP (39.2 percent). Therefore, this article will unleash political views and leadership in the study area.
