Abstract: This article examines disruptive behaviour through Instagram's digital footprint. The widespread use of social media platforms, especially Instagram, has raised concerns about the impact of online activities on adolescent behaviour. By analysing the digital footprint left by teenagers on Instagram, this study aims to investigate the manifestations of entertainment on disruptive behaviour constructed from these digital footprints. The study employs a critical case study approach to Instagram records to provide comprehensive insights into this phenomenon. A sample of 21 individuals was selected through purposive and snowball sampling methods. Data were collected using non-participant observation, in-depth interviews, and focus group interviews. Thematic analysis was used to analyse the research data. The study's results reveal eight manifestations of entertainment constructed by teenagers that influence disruptive behaviour: relationships, humour, current events, individual opinions, current activities, music, mystical news, and beauty. The implications of this research highlight the need for parents, educators, and policymakers to promote digital literacy and provide guidance to teenagers on how to engage in respectful online behaviour effectively within the digital landscape.
