PENGAWALAN DAN PENCEGAHAN DENGGI DI MALAYSIA: SATU TINJAUAN TERHADAP PENGLIBATAN KERAJAAN MALAYSIA (Dengue Control and Prevention in Malaysia: A Review of Government Involvement)
Abstract
Dengue is an epidemic. Dengue is a viral infection in tropical and subtropical regions. It was carried out and spread by mosquitoes which is Aedes. There are two types of Aedes. Aedes Agypti is the main vector of dengue while Aedes Albopictus is another vector of dengue. Virus from Aedes is spread through bitting. It is called as epidemic since it is easy to spread and it will involve in a big scale. Thus, objectives of this research (1) are to explain what is Aedes and dengue and (2) to identify the steps that was taken by the government to prevent and control dengue in Malaysia. Since dengue can cause death and it can be spread in fast and easy ways, thus the prevention and control steps need to be taken from time to time. Government needs to takes action and always generate the new ideas to prevent and control dengue. By identifying the steps was taken by government can lead us to the best steps to prevent and control Aedes. By that way, a research about the steps of prevention and controlling dengue was carried out. The method of this research was literature research and the researcher used the previous study to identify the steps that was taken by government to prevent and control dengue in Malaysia. As the result, there are many steps that was taken by the government and it will be discuss in this article. Hopefully, this research can give some new ideas to the next researcher to do the research on the same topic and also can be a reference to prevent and control dengue.
