Konsep Kualiti Peribadi: Analisis Tematik untuk Meneroka Atribut Intrapersonal Guru

Abstract


Kualiti peribadi guru merujuk kepada ciri, sifat dan atribut yang menjadikan seseorang guru berkesan dan berjaya. Kualiti peribadi guru boleh diukur menerusi indikator sifat dalaman diri atau atribut intrapersonal yang menyerlahkan perwatakan seorang guru. Kualiti peribadi juga dapat menonjolkan sahsiah serta tingkah laku yang unggul dalam memartabatkan profesion keguruan. Kajian ini bertujuan bagi meneroka konsep baharu kualiti peribadi guru berdasarkan atribut intrapersonal dengan menggunakan analisis tematik. Responden kajian terdiri daripada sepuluh orang golongan profesional dalam bidang pendidikan, perguruan dan sains sosial. Instrumen Soal Selidik Konsepsualisasi berbentuk item respon terbuka digunakan bagi mendapatkan pandangan daripada responden. Perisian Nvivo versi 14 digunakan bagi menganalisis data yang diperoleh. Dapatan kajian menemui lima aspek kualiti peribadi guru iaitu keterbukaan kepada pengalaman, keprihatinan, ekstraversi, kebersetujuan dan efikasi kendiri. Atribut-atribut keterbukaan kepada pengalaman dikenal pasti iaitu keinginan menimba ilmu, kesanggupan mencuba perkara baharu dan penerimaan kepada idea baharu. Aspek keprihatinan merangkumi atribut kebolehpercayaan, tanggungjawab dan kestabilan emosi. Bagi aspek ekstraversi pula menemui atribut keyakinan, keramahan dan bersemangat. Aspek kebersetujuan menyenaraikan atribut pemimpin, ejen perubahan, komunikatif dan menyampaikan ilmu kepada orang lain. Manakala aspek efikasi kendiri menggariskan atribut berdaya tahan dalam mendidik dan memberi inspirasi dengan berkesan. Justeru, konsep baharu kualiti peribadi ini boleh membantu guru menjadi pendidik yang berkesan dan mewujudkan persekitaran pembelajaran yang positif serta menyokong pembelajaran murid.
