Abstract


This article gives an overview on the levels of development in the prehistoric cultures in Peninsular Malaysia such as the Paleolithic, "Hoabinhian", Neolithic, Metal and cist grave. It also presents and explains the new approach in archeological research in Malaysia which links the findings of prehistoric archeological artifacts with the Orang Asli society.

Artikel ini memberi gambaran menyeluruh tentang tahap-tahap perkembangan kebudayaan prasejarah di Semenanjung Malaysia setakat ini seperti Palaeolitik, "Hoabinh", Neolitik, Logam dan Kubur Batu Kepingan dan pendekatan baru dalam penyelidikan arkeologi di Malaysia yang mengaitkan artifak arkeologi prasejarah di Semenanjung Malaysia dengan masyarakat Orang Asli.
