KAJIAN AWALAN: HYMENOPTERA PENDEBUNGA DI RIZAB HIDUPAN LIAR TENGKU HASSANAL, PAHANG, MALAYSIA

Abstract


Lebah dan penyengat merupakan agen pendebungaan efektif yang mendebunga spesies pokok berbunga hutan tropika. Walau bagaimanapun, tiada maklumat berkaitan spesies pendebunga ini dari Rizab Hidupan Liar Tengku Hassanal (RHLTH), Pahang, Malaysia. Kajian ke atas serangga pendebunga di RHLTH sebagai model hutan terpilih telah dijalankan untuk mengetahui spesies pendebunga yang berpotensi untuk mendebunga pokok hutan yang menjadi sumber makanan herbivor liar. Spesies Hymenoptera telah berjaya dikumpulkan dari empat lokaliti (Bukit Rengit, Lembah Klau, Kuala Lompat dan Perlok) dengan menggunakan 12 perangkap malaise. Persampelan dijalankan dari Februari ke Julai 2023, kemudian spesimen dicamkan berdasarkan ciri morfologi ke peringkat genus dan spesies sebelum menjalani analisis barkod DNA dengan menggunakan penanda sitokrom oksidase subunit I, COI. Enam spesies telah berjaya dibarkodkan iaitu Apis cerana (Apidae), Nomia sp. (Halictidae), Caliroa sp. (Tenthredinidae), Ectemnius sp. (Crabronidae), Stenodyneriellus similiguttulatus (Vespidae) dan Polybioides sp. (Vespidae). Data awalan ini sangat bermanfaat dan relevan kepada pihak bertanggungjawab dalam membina langkah pengurusan dan strategi pemuliharaan bagi memastikan kelestarian pokok hutan, spesies Hymenoptera pendebunga dan secara tidak langsung kepada spesies hidupan liar.
