Meneroka Faktor-faktor yang Mempengaruhi Penggunaan Platform Digital oleh Perusahaan Mikro dan Kecil

Abstract


ABSTRAK

 

Kajian ini mendapati bahawa perubahan landskap industri telah mewujudkan persekitaran yang dinamik kepada perusahaan mikro dan kecil pada ketika ini. Sorotan literatur mendapati bahawa perusahaan mikro dan kecil perlu bersaing bersama perusahaan yang lebih besar memandangkan kebanyakan perusahaan perlu berpindah kepada platform digital. Justeru, kajian ini meneroka faktor-faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi penggunaan platform digital oleh perusahaan mikro dan kecil. Metodologi kajian menggunakan kaedah kajian kes di mana temu bual bersama 4 perusahaan mikro dan kecil yang menjalankan perniagaan lebih daripada 3 tahun di Negeri Selangor. Hasil dapatan menunjukkan bahawa terdapat tiga faktor yang mempengaruhi penggunaan platform digital, iaitu literasi digital, pembinaan hubungan pelanggan dan pembinaan ekosistem digital. Kesimpulannya, dapatan menunjukkan bahawa faktor literasi digital, pembinaan hubungan pelanggan dan pembinaan ekosistem digital memainkan peranan penting dalam mempengaruhi penggunaan platform digital oleh perusahaan mikro dan kecil. Implikasinya, dapatan kajian ini akan memperkasakan teori berkaitan dengan penggunaan platform digital, selain memberikan maklumat dan panduan yang berguna kepada pihak-pihak berkepentingan dalam merangka program pendidikan berkaitan penggunaan platform digital kepada usahawan bersaiz mikro, kecil dan sederhana di Malaysia.

ABSTRACT

 

This study found that changes in the industrial landscape have created a dynamic environment for micro and small enterprises at this time. Previous literature acknowledges that micro and small enterprises have to compete with larger companies as most companies have moved to digital platforms. Thus, this study explores the factors that can influence the use of digital platforms by micro and small enterprises. Case study method was used which involved  interviews with 4 micro and small enterprises that have been in operation for more than 3 years in Selangor. Findings show that three factors affected usage of digital platform which are digital literacy, building customer relationships and the development of digital ecosystems. As a conclusion, findings show that digital literacy factor, bulding customer relationship and the development of digital ecoystems  play major roles in the usage of digital platform by micro and small enterprises. As implications for this study, the findings strengthen the theory related to digital platform usage, as well as provide useful information and guidance to stakeholders in formulating educational programmes related to  digital platform for micro, small and medium sized entrepreneurs in Malaysia.
