Impak Konflik Rusia-Ukraine terhadap Peranan dan Cabaran Baru Golongan Wanita: Analisis Laporan Akhbar Barat

Abstract


Perhatian media ke atas mangsa perang wanita kebanyakannya mengekalkan laporan yang stereotaip iaitu menekankan peranan wanita secara tradisional dan menormalkan keganasan terhadap wanita. Berbeza dengan artikel ini yang bertujuan untuk mengetengahkan peranan dan tanggungjawab wanita ketika era perang yang berubah daripada peranan tradisional mereka kepada tanggungjawab yang lebih mencabar. Artikel ini menggunakan analisis kandungan kualitatif. Kaedah ini menganalisis kandungan laporan perang Rusia-Ukraine dan impaknya ke atas wanita berdasarkan tiga sumber media. Pertamanya, laporan berita daripada media organisasi iaitu BBC dan Deccan Herald. Kedua, laporan daripada buletin United Nation News dan yang ketiga, akhbar bersifat bukan berorientasikan keuntungan dan bebas seperti The New Humanitarian. Kesemua bahan media yang dipilih ini menggunakan bahasa Inggeris sebagai bahasa penghantar yang diterbitkan secara digital dan atas talian. Hasil kajian mendapati bahawa kuasa media melalui laporan akhbar adalah penting dalam membuat pendedahan, menyampaikan mesej dan memberi kesedaran kepada kepada masyarakat bahawa wanita perlu mendapat penghargaan yang setara sebagaimana orang lelaki kerana peranan wanita semasa perang telah berubah apabila mereka turut memainkan peranan yang mencabar seperti  wartawan, guru, ketua isi rumah dan memikul tanggungjawab sebagaimana pihak lelaki dalam mempertahankan negara dari pencerobohan musuh.
