Perbincangan Politik di Laman Twitter: Atribut Isu Politik dalam Ciapan Media di Malaysia Semasa Tempoh Pra dan Pasca Pilihan Raya Umum Ke 14

Abstract


Kajian ini meneliti fungsi penentuan agenda dalam kalangan media di Malaysia dalam konteks isu politik di laman sosial semasa tempoh pra dan pasca Pilihan raya Umum ke-14 (PRU 14). Kajian ini menganalisis penonjolan atribut isu politik dan meneliti hubungan agenda antara media dalam konteks atribut isu politik di kalangan media arus perdana, media alternatif dan media kerajaan di laman Twitter. Sebanyak 736 ciapan yang berkaitan dengan isu politik yang diciap oleh media arus perdana (Berita Harian dan The Star), media alternatif (Malaysiakini dan FMT) dan media kerajaan (RTM dan BERNAMA) semasa tempoh setahun sebelum dan selepas PRU 14 telah dianalisis menggunakan kaedah analisis deskriptif, analisis korelasi bivariat Spearman’s rho dan analisis korelasi silang-sisih masa. Dapatan kajian ini menunjukkan bahawa semasa tempoh setahun sebelum PRU 14, media arus perdana dan media alternatif meletakkan atribut konflik sebagai atribut terpenting dalam perbincangan isu politik mereka manakala media kerajaan pula memberikan perhatian yang lebih terhadap atribut pilihan raya. Namun selepas PRU 14, hanya media alternatif sahaja yang mengekalkan atribut konflik sebagai atribut terpenting dalam perbincangan isu politik manakala media arus perdana dan media kerajaan pula meletakkan atribut pilihan raya sebagai atribut utama dalam ciapan isu politik mereka. Dalam dimensi hubungan kausaliti antara agenda penonjolan atribut isu politik pula, terdapat peralihan dalam konteks hubungan tersebut pasca PRU 14.
