Analisis Kandungan Terhadap Drama Adaptasi Korea di Malaysia

Abstract


Televisyen merupakan medium komunikasi yang amat efektif dalam penyampaian maklumat dan juga penyebaran budaya. Antara rancangan televisyen yang mendapat perhatian dalam kalangan masyarakat adalah program berbentuk drama dari Korea yang dilihat menjadi akses kepada penularan Hallyu di Malaysia. Namun, kehadiran Hallyu dalam konteks tempatan sedikit sebanyak memberikan kesan negatif terutama kepada para remaja apabila membabitkan perkara yang melibatkan budaya dan agama. Kini, dengan populariti Hallyu yang semakin kukuh, terdapat banyak drama Korea yang telah diadaptasi dan dihasilkan ke dalam versi tempatan. Kritikan dan perbezaan polemik budaya yang ketara antara Malaysia dan Korea terutama dalam pembikinan drama menjadi pencetus kepada kajian ini untuk mengetahui bentuk budaya yang dipersembahkan melalui pembikinan drama adaptasi Korea ‘Alamatnya Cinta’ (Full House) dan ‘My Coffee Prince’ (The 1st Shop of Coffee Prince) berlandaskan Teori Norma Budaya oleh Melvin DeFleur (1970). Dalam kajian ini, kaedah analisis kandungan telah digunapakai bagi memahami pemaparan budaya yang diketengahkan menerusi drama adaptasi Korea di Malaysia. Hasil kajian mendapati, penonjolan elemen kebudayaan Korea dalam drama adaptasi adalah amat minimal berbanding kebudayaan masyarakat Melayu. Ini sekaligus memberi pencerahan kepada masyarakat bahawa pengaruh Hallyu yang hadir tidak begitu menganggu gugat norma dan budaya tempatan. Drama adaptasi Korea ini juga dilihat telah memaparkan budaya Korea yang hadir dengan menggunakan budaya tempatan sebagai rujukan dan indikator bagi memastikan ianya masih mengikut konsep drama asal. Implisitnya, kehadiran drama adaptasi Korea di Malaysia merupakan sebuah usaha yang baik terutama dalam membantu mendidik masyarakat serta memelihara elemen kebudayaan Melayu walaupun kandungan asalnya adalah berbeza.
