Reaksi Netizen Muda terhadap Kebanjiran Maklumat di Alam Maya

Abstract


Kemajuan teknologi komunikasi pada masa kini menyajikan maklumat yang banyak di alam maya. Namun, reaksi pengguna terhadap maklumat ini mungkin berbeza bergantung pada pemboleh ubah seperti umur, tahap penggunaan, cara penggunaan dan sebagainya. Persepsi netizen muda dari pelbagai kumpulan umur mungkin berbeza penerimaan terhadap maklumat ini. Netizen muda terdiri daripada generasi Y yang dilahirkan dalam era media digital elektronik dan dibesarkan dalam era media baharu; dan generasi Z yang dilahirkan dan dibesarkan dalam era media baharu. Oleh itu, artikel ini bertujuan menganalisis reaksi dua jenis netizen ini terhadap maklumat yang banyak di alam maya meliputi cara penerimaan mereka dari sudut emosi, kognitif dan tingkah laku. Responden terdiri dari kalangan netizen yang berumur antara 16 hingga 41 tahun. Seramai 1025 orang responden berjaya menjawab soal selidik yang diedarkan secara dalam talian. Kajian mendapati netizen muda menunjukkan reaksi yang positif terhadap maklumat yang banyak di alam maya dan maklumat tersebut tidak boleh dianggap sebagai banjir bagi mereka kerana mereka boleh menerimanya dan mengurusnya. Kajian turut mendapati terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan reaksi kebanjiran maklumat dari sudut emosi berdasarkan kumpulan umur generasi Y dan Z. Manakala, berdasarkan reaksi kebanjiran maklumat dari sudut tingkah laku menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbezaan berdasarkan kumpulan umur generasi Y dan Z.
