Abstract

ABSTRACT

Diffusion unhealthy elements like Israiliyyat, tradition has dominated Dacif and Mauduc empty spaces of Tafsir. The diffusions is not only the stories of previous nations. Even violate the sanctity of the glorious individuals such as the past Apostles and the Prophet’s Companions who are protected and honoured by Allah in the Qur’an. Thaclabah bin Hatib al-Ansariy RA was one of the individuals that had been involved in this conspiracy. Charges of hypocrisy against a friend who used to accompany Rasulullah SAW and participate in the battle of Badr as Thaclabah should be evaluated scientifically and fairly. The readers, researchers and enthusiasts of Tafsir knowledge should not fully take and accept which were served by the scholars of tafsir in their scriptures. This is because the books of tafsir are not fully reliable reference to assess the validity of the Tradition of the Prophet. In this regard, Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal said: Three things without narration namely al-Tafsir, al-Maghaziy and al-Malahim (Ibn Taymiyyah 1426h/2005m. 13: 346). Thus, each narration that violates the principles and ethics of Quran and authentic Sunnah need to be assessed intellectually without ignoring the scientific reliance.
