Abstract
 
This research investigates the literature of Libyan prisoners through the collection of poems by the poet (Ahmad Ballo): (Available to you now what was not). This colmpilation of poems were written  during the years when the poet was behind the bars in the Libyan political prison, between 1980 to 1987. This study highlights on the technical and aesthetic features in the poems.  They are semantic-lexical field, various types of aesthetic patterns and repetition as a technical and aesthetic phenomenon and narrative construction of the poem. All these by employing the technical analytical method.   The study found that the poetic language of the compilation derived from the lexical-semantic field of challenge, revolution,  oppression, injustice, desolation, loneliness, and the lexical-semantic field of hope and optimistic. The poetic image was achieved through the creative use of poetic  patterns, the artistic techniques of  repetition and  the creation of aesthetic levels in the narrative structure of the poem.
