Kajian kualitatif ini membentangkan tinjauan sorotan literatur berhubung potensi penggunaan realiti maya (VR) dalam meningkatkan kefahaman pelajar terhadap konsep abstrak isti’arah bagi subjek Balaghah di Sekolah Menengah Agama (SMA). Pengajaran konvensional melalui hafalan didapati sering menyukarkan pemahaman pelajar. Oleh itu, objektif kajian ini adalah untuk mengenal pasti cabaran pedagogi sedia ada dan menganalisis keperluan pelaksanaan VR sebagai penyelesaian interaktif. Metodologi kajian menggunakan pendekatan tinjauan sorotan literatur dengan menganalisis artikel akademik berkaitan teknologi imersif dan pengajaran bahasa Arab. Kebaharuan kajian ini menonjolkan integrasi teknologi VR ke dalam pedagogi Balaghah tradisional, yang memberikan sumbangan signifikan kepada kelestarian pengajian asia barat melalui pemodenan kaedah pengajaran bahasa Arab. Dapatan kajian mendedahkan bahawa kejayaan pelaksanaan VR amat bergantung kepada transformasi konsep abstrak kepada visualisasi spatial imersif, penyediaan pendekatan pedagogi yang sesuai, serta ketersediaan infrastruktur teknikal yang optimum. Sebagai perbincangan, teknologi ini berpotensi merungkai kerumitan konsep isti’arah. Kesimpulannya, kajian ini merangka satu model berstruktur yang mencadangkan pembangunan sumber pembelajaran berasaskan VR bagi menyokong pengajaran Balaghah yang lebih berkesan.

Abstract

This qualitative study presents a literature review on the potential of using virtual reality (VR) to enhance students' comprehension of the abstract concept of isti’arah in the Balaghah subject at Islamic Secondary Schools. Conventional teaching methods relying on memorization are often found to impede students' understanding. Therefore, the objective of this study is to identify existing pedagogical challenges and analyze the requirements for implementing VR as an interactive solution. The research methodology employs a literature review approach, analyzing academic articles related to immersive technology and Arabic language instruction. The novelty of this study highlights the integration of VR technology into traditional Balaghah pedagogy, providing a significant contribution to the sustainability of West Asian Studies through the modernization of Arabic teaching methods. The findings reveal that the successful implementation of VR heavily relies on transforming abstract concepts into immersive spatial visualizations, providing appropriate pedagogical approaches, and ensuring optimal technical infrastructure. Consequently, this technology holds the potential to unravel the complexities of the isti'arah concept. In conclusion, this study formulates a structured model proposing the development of VR-based learning resources to support more effective Balaghah instruction.
